The Wolverine III is GE’s next generation flat panel PC with sunlight-readable LED and touch screen sealed in a rugged NEMA4X enclosure. It can be used in environments where it maybe knocked around or left out in the rain. This ATEX Zone 2 rated Panel PC is capable of running any x86 based software and allows customers to put a Human Machine Interface (HMI) or Operator Interface in a Zone 2 Hazardous Area, such as an oil rig.

The exciting, new Wolverine III raises the bar for ATEX Zone 2-rate rugged panel PCs. Built to operate in temperatures from –40°to +60°C, it delivers instant-on functionality even at –20°C and ensures no large power draw at start up. Light weight, <25lbs, yet rugged, the new high-performance Wolverine III is highly reliable, upgradeable and it’s modular design sets a new standard for field serviceability.

Based on a rugged Computer-On-Module (COM) assembly utilizing an Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor with Intel 65-nanometer technology and new micro-architecture, the Wolverine III supports up to 2.26GHz processors with 1066MHz FSB and 6 MB L2 cache. It incorporates an Intel® GS45 and ICH9M chipsets with up to 4 GB non-ECC DDR3 SDRAM.

The Wolverine III offers three (3) network options including wireless LAN, field removable hard drive, and features watchdog timer and dimming control.
